I'm looking for some advice for the SEO for a new site <that will involve large numbers of commercial listings> (NON-US btw).
How would you do the SEO on a site level?. I read something here on theme piramids, it that concept appropriate / still recommendable? Or would you do it completely different?
Looking forward to your idea's!

The basic idea of theme pyramids still works beautifully and probably always will. Regardless of whether I'm a user or a search engine, a casual look at any URL from a site constructed in this fashion tells me a great deal about the contents of every page in the chain:
widgets.com/round/large/copper-plated/high-density
Now add equally logical breadcrumb nav to that, unique page titles on every page, unique meta descriptions, Hx that reflect page contents, and unique content and you're off to the races. ;-)
