The meta description tag on some of my pages are like this

<meta name="description" content="description here

some more description here">

Will the <enter> between the descriptions create any problem for search engines?

That shouldn't cause any issues. Just run the page through the HTML validator at the W3 and if it doesn't flag it as an error, you're okay. There may be certain types of "hard returns" that "could" cause an issue but I don't think you're faced with that.

Its always a good practice to not break tags. In this instance, I'd recommend that you get all that on one line like it normally should be. ;)

I seem to remember some early versions of Mozilla had issues if there was a line-break in the title element, or in a title or alt attribute: the characters would "show" as garbage, but not as a newline.
