How much weight do shopping comparison sites hold?

Im thinking of registering with a few of these comparison sites!

Will that help with the serps though?

Which sites?

I would think the SEs treat comparison sites like affiliate sites. We are a fairly large aggregator that ranks well, but not for our affiliate content. If you do a search for "silver widget", our result that shows up is an article about the silver widget, not its product page.

There are actually a few of them that appear to get "special treatment" or have become the trusted price comparison destinations. There's a fierce battle in that space...

Im talking about sites like shop genie.

I think I will start reading up on their terms and conditions. Im sure that will make good reading!
