2 IP's pointing to the same domain, bad ideal?

Hi,

My mail server is currently just an IP address, and it is causing some of my emails to be treated as spam.

I was told by my ISP that if I resolve the IP to a domain, things should be fixed.

So if I have 2 IP's pointing to the same domain name, is that safe?

There is no need to pick the same domain name as your webserver. Your webserver could be named example.com and www.example.com, where te IP of your mail server resolves to smtp.example.com.
