I am new into search engine marketing, my site is doing very well and its very google friendly.
I was just reviewing URchin Stats and it shows Googlebot has 97% share of all bots. Does that mean my site is not doing well on other search engine? How can I improve that. I just submitted to paid inclusion of Overture .. what else I can do to bring other bots coming to my site.
Any advice

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, sjinnovation.

Some search engines may be rather slow at finding new websites, so if your website is new you may just have to be patient.

Get some more incoming links to your website from well established websites. That is where spiders generally find a new page.

Much of Google's succes is based on the simple fact that they have been spidering so many pages and doing it so often. But other search engines have learned the lesson. And the search engines owned by Yahoo now have money enough behind them to afford much more spidering if their economy has been the problem.

It is still quite normal to have googlebot as the most frequently visiting spider, but a well established website really should have lots of visits from other search engines. If many websites are pointing to yours it ought to be well known by search engines.

The internal linking structure may be a factor. It is an advantage to have a flat hierarchy with all pages only one or two clicks away from your frontpage.

And how complicated is your html? Some spiders may be reluctant to follow internal links if you have large or complicated files with deeply hidden links.
