Buy Traffic... Does it worth it?

I got a new affiliate web site up and running last 2 months but until now I'm still not listed by Google. It's kinda weird because even I have purchased Priority Submission Service from Inktomi still I'm not getting listed on any Inktomi supported search engine(Hotbot etc).
So, before I can figure out what's wrong with my site, I will need to drive some targetted visitors to my new site. I would like to purchase some targeted visitors from traffic providers to see if this approach works. This is an alternatif I never use before.
After research, here are some of my best choices:

Do you think these traffic can be converted into sales?
Anyone have luck making sales from these kind of traffics? Where did you purchase your traffic from?

Buying traffic is all about Return on Investment. I would recommend doing it yourself on a trial basis. Use a small amount ($50 - $200) and use google adwords and/or overture pay per click. This will generate targeted traffic and you can quickly find out if the investment is worth it.

The forum here frowns on posting links. Just read some of the other posts here about traffic (use the site search at the top of the page).

We tried buying traffic for one of our website - result: zero conversion (although from our logs, they did deliver the requested traffic)

Despite their claim, most "bought traffic" are very unqualified.

It was a test, we lost only a couple of hundred bucks - but we won't do it again. Maybe you'll have a better experience, who knows?

Where did you purchase your traffic from?

My last yahoo submission returned my investment in two weeks. If you want qualified traffic, never use pop-ups and never use surf for credits schemes.

Depending on what your site is selling it might also be worth considering some of the store front sites out there. Dealtime being an excellent example. They operate on a pay per click basis similar to google and overture but tend to be easier to maintain positions on. The traffic is also very high quality having normally been sourced from the major search engines already.

Well, do u think the sites sell you targetted traffic. Nobody likes popups and popunders. I dont recommend buying traffic unless it is very targetted like adwords or overture if at all u like PPC. Else work on organic SEO, get some links, get your websites completely indexed and traffic would be all yours. :-)
