Losing pages slowly, in all indexes

Number of indexed pages is decreasing.

The number of indexed pages is decreasing across all search engines for one of my sites.

Nearly every day another page or two is being dropped from Google, Inktomi, and AltaVista.

Any ideas why?

I recently did a 301 redirect to direct all traffic from my IP address and from htt*p://widgets.com to make them both go to my full url: htt*p://www.widgets.com. However, I don't think that this should have affected anything.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Just ensure it was a 301 and not a 302, happened to someone who got a third party to do it......

No, it's definitely a 301.

Thanks

PR redistribution can take upto 90 days as Google use around 8-9 datacenters. When did you setup the 301 redirect?

I added some new pages to my website about 2 months ago and have just got pr on them today.

The one I did last month (about 5 weeks ago) still is showing PR0
