[edit reason] No urls, thanks. See TOS [webmasterworld.com] [/edit]
I, obviously, don't have a clear idea what the exact reasons might be for your website to fail but think about 1. design (it is an eye-catcher and if it's not attractive enough, just forget about it...), 2. promotion in the most general sense - how many people actually have visited your website from the start (I mean unique visitors a day, approximately?), 3. mind that in this, let's name it, digg-niche, you need to have that magical little difference that will make you stand out...When you have so powerful competitors - Digg and the others...it is very hard to promote a new web project.
Anyway, think it over very carefully and I am sure - soon you will have your project enhanced and better promoted,
Good luck,
John
You need to offer value over and above the $10, otherwise when you've run out of $10, people will stop returning.
On top of John's excellent advice I would suggest that being "digg-like" or in the "digg-niche" is not going to cut the grade - you need to be a "digg-beater" or to create your own niche by doing something completely new and different. You need to offer value over and above the $10, otherwise when you've run out of $10, people will stop returning.
Being a "digg-beater" is definitely what is needed to be noticed at all. But we all here, the criticizers will somewhat discourage you right from the start. Please, don't take it on the offensive side - just think in perspective, how to enhance your project or start a new initiative if this one fails.
Good luck!
