Well, the major purchases may be over for now, but how that will shake out in terms of traffic and importance remains to be seen.

For now, it looks like Google is number one and Inktomi is number two -- and if you take care of those two, because of all the search partners they have you've handled over 90% of your potential traffic.

But with Microsoft building their own in-house search, some day we theoretically will also have them as a big player on their own, when they drop Inktomi as a data source.
