Linking Strategy Between Sites

Hi there,

We currently have three websites A, B, and C.

C is a new website that we intend to send live this week.

A and B link back to and from each other fairly heavily, this isn't for optimisation it is more for the user because it is relevant throughout the site. C will also link back to A.

I need to link site C to one of the site's in order for it to be found by the search engines.

I'm thinking that it would be better to link C from B, as if it is linked from A this will be reciprocal linking, where as if it is linked from B it will be an inbound link?

Do you think this would be the better option, and also can too many reciprocal links between two sites have a negative effect?

Thanks

On the scale you suggest, the risks of interlinking are small, as are the benefits; if the links are relevant to visitors, Google et al will not worry at all.

However, if your question is a simplified version of linking between sites A,B,C ... X,Y,Z, then you would be very unwise to proceed (search here for 'link farms' and 'bad neighborhoods'.

A and B link back to and from each other fairly heavily, this isn't for optimisation it is more for the user because it is relevant throughout the site.

You might consider merging the two; concentrating effort and incoming links, plus reducing visitor dizziness as they waft from a - b - a - b.

Question is quite tricy but i dont think interlinking will be risky. Go for it.
