The url structure of my site is build with mapurl's, even on the landingpages.

This means that the landingspage looks like this: www.domein.ext/cat/subcat/product/ , is that bad for seo? It seams to me that something like www.domain.ext/cat/subcat/product.html is better.

But now it's to late to change that, will I get a penalty for this? My site has about 30.000 pages.

No different from SEO perspective. And your current set up provides greater flexibility for the future (you're not stuck with the actual doc type).

Mikey - You might want to read this recent thread where it discusses the trailing slash, which is the only potential issue I see with your example...
