Pages Not Being Cached

In the index, but no Cached Page Link Showing...

Hey Everyone,

I have a client who runs a large unique article site One thing I am finding are a lot of their pages are indexed with Google, MSN and Yahoo, but those pages are not cached (they don't have cached link next to the serp listing). This is the same for MSN, Yahoo and Google. I am jsut wondering if they would actually have better placement if it weren't for this problem.

Also to note - Anyone can read their articles, you don't have be any sort of member, login or anything like that.

There could be allsorts of reasons why these pages are not being cached things you need to take into account are things like this:

How long have these pages been live online?
How far down your directory tree are they?
Are they accessible within three clicks from the homepage?
Are they using noindex, nofollow command?
Are these pages stated to not be read in your robots.txt?
Are they in-deed optimised?

The list goes on

If all the above are how they should be may I suggest using the good old Google toolbar to go directly to the pages in question, that’s a good tip these days, also failing that perform offsite optimisation via links pointing to those pages, if you check or do all the above allow a little time and your pages will be found, if not come back and either myself or another expert will give you more tips, I’m only brief :)

create sitemap.html and include all those pages which are not getting cached. See the results in one month. All your pages will be cached. surely! It is my personal experience.
