Can Search engines Read HTML Character Entities

A is written as A

[ashii]

I am trying to understand if Search engines (Specially Google & yahoo) Understand the HTML Character Entities Like
A is uppercase A

So If I write below line

"Google is Best search Engine"

like this

"Google is Best search Engine"

So if my page contain those characters ,will Google understand that line.(Of couse all browsers do that)
