Content Farms - Massive Content Generation

SEO Firm looking to sell me content

I am being approached by a SEO firm who is advising that I publish dozens, or hundreds, of "articles" a month. They want to charge me $100 per article and claim that each is individually written to focus on a specific keyword.

Alarm bells are going off in my head as I try and figure out how it is even possible to write a few hundred original articles in a month on a topic that's fairly limited.

Has anyone ever had an experience, positive or negative, with a company like this?

I realize the old saying that "content is king" but I would rather not take chances with spammy or potentially duplicate content.

You have to evaluate the traffic value potential of each article.
Moreover the rapid creation of content on a new site, is handled with a aging factor by Google ( the so called sandbox).
