But of coure, this is the Search Engine Promotion forum -- so I should add that the most important ways I've found to increase traffic (and valuable targeted traffic) involve focusing on building content for the long tail of search -- the specific, detailed and more focused 3-4-5 word search terms. They're easier to rank for than the big "trophy keywords", and the traffic really wants the content you have.

I was sort of forced into this "discovery" when I blew it for a client and lost their #1 major keyword by pushing a bit to aggressively. At any rate, we went after the longer phrases, and found we got more sales from fewer visitors. An fter all,sales is what we wanted!
