I have been trying to get my site indexed for a few months now, but it doesn't seem to happen. I have meta tags, good content on my home page, title tags for my links, summery tags for my tables, and alt tags for my images.

What can I do to help this process?

You will need to take your URL out of the post or the mods will.
I am pretty new at this also, but the thing that has helped the most is getting other pages that have a high PR to link to your site.

Dont worry, the search engines don't know how old you are.
The best way to make sure the search engines find your site and index it, is by getting other sites to link to yours.
The last 2 sites i launched are only 2-3 months old and were picked up by the major se's within a month.
They both have other sites that link to them.

As a "test" i did not submit either of the 2 sites to any of the SE's. Only a few directories. As i said, the se's found the sites within a month. There is no doubt the sites were found by links from other sites since i did not "submit" them to any se's.

I think there are several people on WW that are under 18 and doing quite well.

I think two points are critical.
#1 select keywords properly since the site is indexed by SE
on keyword.Search similar sites that are listed at the top of the SERP and open their source codes. See what the descriptive words they are using.

#2 Link building.
try to build as many links as possible with other sites.

Welcome to WbmasterWorld, mdesigns!

What you need is not "tips" but some serious reading about how search engines work, best source is Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com].

I have meta tags, good content on my home page, title tags for my links, summery tags for my tables, and alt tags for my images.

Of the list, meta tags are of limited value, summary tags are of great value to sight impaired surfers but not to search engines, and alt tags seem to have lost much of their value through overuse. Content is important in two respects: Content is rich in keywords (search engine food) and, if really good, helps get links.

Currently Google, which is the main earch engine, give a lot of weight to links. As others have suggested, you need them.
