Hello,

My web site is crawled for the most by Google spiders;
less by MSN spiders and much less by Altavista/yahoo spiders;that results in only few pages indexed on these last SEs.
Am I in the average, or has my site any problem?
The fact is that is not possible to "force" spiders to visit it, so what could I do in order to increase my presence on these engines?

thanks for your feedbacks

Sincerely

The difficult part is that there is no one right answer. I think the obvious answer is to work on setting up a lot of quality external links to your site. To start, have you submitted to DMOz, yahoo, etc...

If you haven't already, setup an account with Google Sitemaps and you can get a better view of how the spider (Google's) is viewing your site. Also, in your Google formatted sitemap, you have the power to suggest how often your site pages change, which may have a little effect on the spiders.
