I optimized a few days ago, appeared on SE results already, now gone

A week ago, I optimized pages for the first time (thanks for tips guys). Anyways, a few days later most of the pages appeared in the top 10 results on Yahoo and Google. Now, some of those pages have disappeared from results under searches, while others still appear.

I did site:domain.com keyword and the pages are still cached by google but they don't come up under searches for the keywords anymore. Is this normal?

They'll be back. It takes a couple weeks to a month or even longer for a site to stick. It's a waiting game. Always has been. Still is.
