Hey seo5:)

Basicly i believe what is meant is that you should have your text links or your Navigation links on ALL your webpages. This would allow your visitors to navigate easily throughout your website.

Ex. This is a text link:

<a href="http://www.someplace.com/a-file-name.html">Your text link here</a>.

A site wide navigation would most likely consist of a complete navigation system. This means having a CSS navigation or a dropdown type or other type on ALL your webpages so the visitor could access your entire site easily through this system. If you look at other sites you will see that some have a long bar full of text words and these allow for a visitor to click on them and go to different pages on the site. Basicly back and forth around browsing the sites pages. You can also look at the top of this webpage. It has a few text links that you can click on. Just hover over the top of the links and you will see how they turn yellow. They allow you to move around the site.

Here's a search you can run:

->Type in the keyword phrase: CSS navigation

in a search engine.

You will most likely get sites that show you how to design a css
navigation system. This will give you an idea of what one consists of and how it is made.

Well, hope this answers your question:)

Good luck:)

It's prolly worth noting that perhaps the most common use of the term 'site wide links' pertains to getting links from other Web sites.

Sometimes, when buying links for example, a site will sell you not just a link from one page, but from every page on their site, hence, a sitewide link back to you.

Generally this has become a somewhat dangerous practice, since it suggests to the SE's that a special relationship exists between the sites, that has undue influence on the search results. A 'special relationship' might be that the sitewide links were bought, or that the same entity owns both sites. Either way, the SE's tend to frown on the practice, unless you have just a few site wide inbound links representing a small percentage of total inbound links, which is viewed as more natural and less manipulative.
