Does anyone know whether or not the ClickTracks tracking code that you have to put at the end of each URL to your site devalues those links in the eyes of the search engines at all?

I don't currently use ClickTracks.....can you post a sample of the tracking code?

>>>devalues those links in the eyes of the search engines at all?

In terms of what? Are you asking if they devalue these links? If they count them at all? If they follow the links? Please explain a bit more for us.

Emily-

I use Clicktracks and I am not aware of any specific "Clicktracks tracking code" that must be applied to the end of the URL. Could you please explain what it is you are talking about and maybe I can help?

If you are talking about a tracking code in general for your PPC links etc. then this is really not specific to Clicktracks but rather to how it is recorded in your logfiles...and then later interpretted by a program like Clicktracks. In a nutshell a tracking code is like "yourpagename.asp?src=google&adgroup=4&keyword=hosting"
The additional information is recorded in the log file and you can use this for analysis. Not sure if that is what you are looking for but hope it helps.

Thanks.
