Is this overkill?

I noticed when I changed my title to include keyphrases twice, I jumped up to #4. I now want to change it again...

EXAMPLE
From:
Baseball Stories - Great-Baseball-Stories.com

To;
Baseball Stories - Great Baseball Stories from Great-Baseball-Stories.com

Am I crazy?

Baseball Stories - Great Baseball Stories from Great-Baseball-Stories.com. Am I crazy?

Yes, you should be certified! ;)

Nah, on a serious note, I wouldn't take the title that far. You are basically repeating 3 times on your primary keyword phrase. If you are currently ranked #4 for your primary with 2 repeats, don't stretch it!

It may be just a matter of proximity and a minor tweak to the existing title. It could also be just a matter of mentioning that primary keyword phrase somewhere in the first <h1> or <p> element. Maybe you could even wrap it in a <strong> element if appropriate.

If you haven't already done so, make sure that same keyword phrase appears in your META Description and Keywords Tag if you are using one.

Ok...Which do you think is better to use? H1 or h2 at the very top? I've discovered some more optimization that can be done on the page...Should I mess with it or leave it alone? Thanks

Twice, second time tied into a keyphrase. Never more than twice (let's face it, more than twice is just spam unless you have a *very* good reason for it). In other words, your current title is perfect.

H1 or h2 at the very top?

H1

Leave it alone for the moment - see what these current changes do for you first, otherwise it's easy to lose track.

H1 at the top. Keep you tags in order of importance......
<h1> Most important like page title
<h2> Paragraph headings
and so on

If you don’t like the way you browser defaults the display of the <h> tags, then force changes onto them with CSS.

I go with pageoneresults, keep the phrase down to max 2 repetitions.

Right now I see lots of top placements in Google where the keyword/phrase is the only word/phrase in titles, i.e. "widgets" is better than "widgets from widgetstore - quality widgets"
