I was wondering if there was any way to see where my competitors are getting there traffic from, i.e. search engines, online yellow pages, reciprocal links, etc....?

Check their backlinks. See how they do in the SERPS for various searches. There may be other ways that I'm unaware of.

You can't really get that stat very easyily without having access to their counter, you can use Alexa to compare there site with yours, it's not perfect though.
