.com and .co.uk

redirect or seperate site?

I have registered 2 domains - widget.com and widget.co.uk. My site is live on .com and I'm trying to sort out .co.uk, as if people hear the company name they are more likely to try .co.uk. first.

Is it better to redirect one domain to the other one or put an identical site on both?

do not put an identical site on both domains, please :)

head over to UK forum or Google forum and you will see this discussed many times over, on the correct way of doing this.

If your site is targeted at a UK audience, then I would advise a UK domain as the MAIN site, rather than .com
