Registrar redirect

I have had three urls for a long time all parked on the same host. I recently read here that that can be viewed as duplicate content and it was suggested that I use a redirect from the registrar. I did this a few days ago and now some of my internal links are not working as they had were redirected url.

Example:

URL www.yyy.com has 5 pictures whose src is www.zzz.com and those pictures dont show up.

Now this is only for a few mins when I initially pull up the site but it is with everyone I have asked so far. After those few mins all the pics and links work. However obviously all my seo traffic is not producing now at all.

My question is this:

Will this be remedied by some more time and patience or is this going to continue so that every new visitor sees the horrid red x's? Should I wait or should I change the 100's of links.

Any help would be appreciated,
thanks,
Joshua

Are you redirecting zzz.com?

yes zzz.com is redirected to yyy.com.

So you are doing a 301 redirect to yyy.com from zzz.com and trying to use the images from the redirected zzz.com to yyy.com.

If this is the case then you probably need to change your paths.

so if I do the url forward at the registrar that is a 301 redirect? I thought that paths would be duplicated (and they are after I access the page after a few mins) but if that is the case and the only answer I guess I have some links to change (ugh!) :)
