What are they?

Hi!

I have been reading about all these tools in the e-mails I get from Clickz, sitepro, and other subscriptions.

The same time ppl. here ask not to use automated tools for submissions, page generation and link checking. If I consider that (which I do, the most) I dont need any of the tools but textpad and Wtrendz.

which are the software tools that you'd suggest a webmaster/SEO should use?

thanks,
N

In terms of promotion if it was me I would do it manualy. Avoid using anything automated because this can in effect put up the red flags.

A lot of search engines also prohobit the use of automated searched on their database. Doing so could have implications for your site.

Hope this is some help.

Mack.

you'll find the majority of people here do things manually when it comes to rank checking, submissions, and optimizing in general.

I know a number of us use tools (mostly free) to check keyword density, link popularity, search saturation, keywords, etc.

Hello neh2008. We'd prefer to stay away from providing references to SEO tools. A quick search on Google will turn up thousands of results. We have a thread going in the Supporters forum that lists all of the most popular SEO tools for this Spring 2003 (80 messages so far). The tools are not something we wish to promote in a public setting. Thanks!

Why would these tools be something you would not "wish to promote in a public setting"?

Because it then becomes a URL drop fest and it is specifically stated in the TOS [webmasterworld.com] that promotional URL drops are not acceptable. Every now and then Brett might open a topic where URLs are allowed under certain circumstances.

P.S. The atmosphere in the Supporter's Forum [webmasterworld.com] is more relaxed. ;)

I got the answer, in short.

Its a redirect to the "Supporter's Forum", got it.

I learn nice tricks here.
