My websites are hosted by a free server do search engines take any notive of who your host is or the contenet of your url?
Being new to this I made a site last year and submitted it around 10 times to the same engines without it being complete!
Now i have finished the site and want to get it listed can anyone offer advice?
cheers

I have sites on Geocities and Freeserve that are included in all the main search engines. The host makes no difference as far as I can tell.

What is more difficult is to get the sites on the Open Directory (dmoz.com) because the human editors are a little wary of free hosts - but it can be done with the right content. Forget free listings on Yahoo with a free host.

The key to gwetting into search engines is having at least one link from an established site
