I see hidden text everywhere.

in the beginning, i thought to report.

now i see more and more and more.

and much more smarter.
inch size area with thousand of words and very hard to detect.
I do use "control A"

So i am tired and will not report it any more.

how you guys think and feel?

Google just can not detect it.

The unfortunate thing about spamming is, search engine spiders cant always get it. When I go to a site that I am checking out, seeing why its listed so well, I hit Ctrl A and 90% of the time its spammed by hidden text. So far the search engines have not come out with a SSSS (super spam seeking spider).

The problem is this. Nobody knows other wise about spam with the exception of us SEOs and generally the ones that report spam to google are the ones who are getting their pants whipped off by spammers. The general public does not know that they are getting redirected, go to an affiliate to purchase items, or any of that junk. We are the ones screwing up everything. Who do you think is directly responsible for the Spam Report?

If you want to report them do it. If not zip it. You may peg yourself if you are using spam on your site if you report the offensive site. I am fairly sure when you fill out a spam report you have to add your site. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. I dont use the report because I think and have proven my ability to beat spammers with good clean pages.

I think hidden text is useless for getting better rankings...

Dangerous for its potential to cause worse rankings, since a large, and very well educated group of individuals are actively trying to stomp on every bit of hidden text Googlebot finds...

And a sure characteristic of a site that has no useful content to provide its visitors.

OK, Mea Culpa. I did this for a while, and it helped a LOT. I have since removed it. But to deny that it helps (even short term) is wrong. It can help a lot, if done the right way!

That said, I would not recommend doing it, now especially- GG is on the hunt!
