This is an issue I have thought about alot. Alot of times though, even when I want to post something I am afraid that
it may be a chance happening that created my results. There are even things I havn't told my brother in law mainly because I know he is really good at this business and I am just an upstart. I have one thing that seems to work without fail so far and even though I am in a hotly contested area with lots of powerful competitors, I have been having great results. It is really simple. so here it is, a freebie: (if I make a fool out of myself for this chalk it up to being still awake at 4am ;)), use MFP2000 shared borders top and bottem, the top for the web page the customer sees, the bottem for links, and the actual page for the spiders. It isn't cloaking and so far all engines ignore the shared borders as long as they are identical even though they are bigger than the actual pages. Some spiders will check the border pages if they are different from page to page. Use robots text on the border pages, and now you are serving a webpage that appeals to people as well as search spiders. Altavista, Northern Light, Inktomi old and new, Looksmart, Dogsearch, and others love my pages even in tough keywords. Google hates me and I am not even in their database so it may be different. There are other factors obviously but this seems to make the best of two worlds for the people visiting my sites and search engines. I hope this helps someone, somewhere, somehow...
I guess my point is that I want to help, just remember that nobody is perfect. If this post makes no sense, again, it is past 4am. I'm going to bed now.

Billythekid, That is what this place is all about. helping, sharing and learning more. I will look in to this and see if I can come up with the same results...
