Bad to Have Different Alt Tags for Same Image?

Does anyone know if using a different alt tag for the same image is considered bad by SE's?

For example, if I have a logo at the top of every page, should I keep the alt tag the same, or should I put the keyword in it that the page is optimized for?

There aren't enough images available to put a different one on every page...

There is nothing wrong with customizing each page, which can also mean customizing the ALT tags for each page.

This said, you should keep your ALT tags to a reasonable length with readable copy.
