Hi all,
I have nearly comlpeted my web site and now need to promote it!
Ihave read loads of stuff on how to get a good ranking, can you please answer a few questions i now have.

How important are meta tags? Which ones?
Is it better to have lots of key words than say 20?
Does hiding text (content,keywords) as the same color as the web sites background work?
How important is content when getting ranked?
Is the title of the site important? should it include some keywords?

is it worth submitting each page of my site as seperate URLs to get them all listed.? Do these pages have to ahve meta tags and good content?

I know these my have been asked befor, but some help would be much needed thanks!

I finf title fairly relevant, only use keywords which are in your content, and a small suitable description (containing keywords) - not sure if google pics this up but other engines do

DO NOT DO THIS - could get ya banned!

VERY important - MOST IMPORTANT thing to do

Personally it has worked very well for me - using title with keywords

I never bother, but make sure all your pages are hyperlinked to one another so they can get spidered - if they are not linked, well yes submit each one.

You should really do a few 'Site Searches' for a few of these, where is loads of stuff to catch up on about all kinds of info.

To answer your questions quickly, only my opinion mind you!

meta title and description are important, keywords not so much now
yes lots of keywords is good
no hiding text will probably get you banned now
content is nearly everything!
title important yes, keywords in title..yes
dont bother submitting your pages, just your homepage will be fine

One thing you didnt mention which is vastly importand for rankings and getting into search engines is to find a few other websites who will link to yours!
