I have some questions I have been having trouble finding answers for, I hope that they make sense:

Is it a good idea to use hidden layers to insert descriptive site content to reinforce my keywords? I have had some success with this although I often found that search engines used snippets of this as a description for my site in place of my <meta name=”description” tag. . Do search engines ever penalise you for using hidden content in the body?

Is it not a good idea to index more than 50 pages per site? Can I add to this number if I use sub domains? I was advised not to in the Kloakit forum- but how come so many sites have 1000’s of pages listed? A friend made a site for a local trade fare, it was created two weeks before the event and she managed to get it listed overnight for free on the main search engines, but didn’t tell me how.

Another question is about the structure of my keywords:

Say I had a computer shop in North West London.

These would be my idea keyword phrases:

“Computer retail north west london” .
“north west london computer retail"
“north london computer retail”
“west london computer retail”

Would adding the following AFTER the phrases above OR in the body of the text reinforce them?
“Computer”
“retail”
“north”
“west”
“north west”
“north west london”
“London”
“computer retail”
“retail north”
“retail north west”
“west London computer”
“north London”
“London computer retail”

Also would it be a good idea to enter these words using <h1> tags inside a hidden layer in the body of my site be a good idea? Would it be better to put the components of the phrases:

retail”
“north”
“west”
“north west”
“north west london”
“London”
“computer retail”
“London computer retail”

Before or after the ideal phrases

“north west London computer retail”
and
“west london retail”

Is it a good idea to use hidden layers to insert descriptive site content to reinforce my keywords?

Rule 1: If your proposed SEO strategy aids your site visitors' web experiences do it.

Now answer this, How does descriptive text in hidden layers help your visitors use your website?

As for the keyword combinations, I would group two and three-word combinations that describe your site content correctly. Single word terms like North, West, etc. I wouldn't group with my two and three-word units.

But then again . . . why are you even worrying about keywords, unless you're working on your content. Otherwise, you're wasting time putting so much effort into Keyword Meta Tags.

Remember Rule 1. Keywords you place in a meta tag, or in a directory/se submission form, that don't appear in your site's content violate the rule.
