My current situation is thus.
Before I started a business I used a domain name of three characters on a .co.uk tld.
The URL was at the time very related to my hobby.
About 7 months ago I completely redisigned the site and have it linked in lots of places but the content is now completely different so the domain name has no recognisable value to the industry.
When I started my new industry I also bought a new domain name a .net that has good keyword and industry meaning to it, and I just redirect this to my old domain name .co.uk but I branded the site with the new .net domain name.
What I am wondering is should I re-brand my site to this 3 character .co.uk name easy type in easy to remember etc... or should I stay as is.
Ideally I would like to have the new domain name as my primary however I would in effect be starting from scratch in all search engines etc... which I do not want.
I have questions in my head like if the users type in one domain and are always forwarded to the other domain will they get confused....
Any advice appreciated guys...
