Hi Guys

I've been reading stuff in here for a few days now. My web site is ranked pretty high in google - but we want to be 1st :-) - and not high enough on the rest...

So, looking at the 1st ranked site and searchnig for differences, I stumbled upon a major difference - my menu - available on all pages of my site, is created on the fly using java-scripts. When u view code in the browser - you do not see where the menu takes you to...

Does this stop search engines from crawling my site? Does it mean they will only index my home and it's direct links?

Thanks in Advance

Hi RFish,

Welcome to Webmasterworld.

Bots can't read JavaScript yet, so it's wise to redo you navigation but this cannot guarantee a #1 position. Dive into the Google forum and use the site search option on top of the page for more info.

Good luck!
