Which is best?

What do you guys think the home page should be named, index.htm or default.htm or does it matter to the search engine?

or you could consider index.html or mainkeyword.htm or mainkeyword.html

I'm not sure it actually makes a difference, though I think having a static home page is a must.

The standard has always been index.htm(l), but default works. I seriously doubt that it makes any difference. In fact you could probably have both.
