how long to see results from ODP

Hello Again,

I submitted our site to ODP, and when I searched under our category our site is not showing up. How long does this take, and can I submit again?

You have to wait a month (as a minimun). Then check it and if you weren't there, try again. But never before 30 days after the last submit

I believe the submission guidelines mentions resubmitting (once) after 3 weeks. Every time you resubmit your site it moves further down the list.

How long does this take

It can take anywhere from almost immediately to 6 months or longer. I am not sure what the average is.

There is a date at the bottom of the search results that shows when the search database was last updated. If your site was added after this date it will not show up in the search results. Check the category where you submitted your site to and see if it is listed. It could also have been listed/moved to a different category or subcategory if the editor felt that it was more appropriate.

If your site is not listed after a month or so, you can inquire about your submission at the resource-zone.com in the Site Submission Status forum. Be sure to include your URL and the category that it was submitted to.

After submitting once, you can resubmit again after waiting a month (mainly just in case some technical problem occurred that lost your submission).

However, you must NOT keep on resubmitting. After a total of two submissions, you should check via Resource Zone as to the status, then just be patient. Do not resubmit again.

Some sites are reviewed within days or weeks, others take very much longer. Some spam-filled and neglected areas of the directory have submissions from 2001 still waiting.
