Is Inktomi algos similar to Google ones?

Hi everyone,

1- When you are in the main Google's db and Googlebot crawls your site 4 times during the same week, will that make your site change position or will we have to wait for the Google dance to see that?

I noticed lately that my SEO work is paying off at inktomi, with all these Top 3 spots on super hot competitive keywords with over 1 million pages and up in the serps but i've heard that a good listing at Inktomi can also mean that you will have a similar ranking at Google (unless hot competitors arive with high PR sites of course).

2- What would you say about that? Is Inktomi algos similar to Google ones?

2. The major search engines all have similar functions in their algo, no one have the same link algorithm as Google though (PageRank).

Inktomi focuses more on "On the page factors" than Google does, that's probably the most major difference.

Does Inktomi penalize cloacking?

I noticed that some sites gain rankings and apparently they did not change a comma! Are those sites using cloacking?
