Can anyone tell me where i can learn how to make doorway pages?
Hello bubbleman! It's a very basic formula and one that you are probably already doing and not aware of. Just keep adding relevant content to your site, make it user friendly and add plenty of research, testing, research, testing, research, testing...
If you look up in the upper left hand corner of your screen, there is a link labeled site search. From there, you'll be able to find more than enough information on Doorway Pages to get you started.
By the way, you may want to rethink the terminology a little. Doorway Pages have taken on a negative connotation over the years. Just put yourself in the mindset that you are adding pages of relevant content that benefit your visitors. Follow the common guidelines for optimizing a page and you will be successful, in most instances! ;)
Back in the old days (before my time) doorways were used as entry points to send visitors to other pages/other sites. There were software programs (still are) to generate them, targeted to specific search engines.
It's an outworn concept, frowned on by search engines, and particularly worthless for Google since there have to be inbound links and Page Rank to score well.
Content development is a timeless concept and will never go out of style. Developing targeted pages within the normal structure of a site, included in the navigation and relevant to keyphrases that surfers will search for, that have the look and feel of the site and are enhancements to the sites themselves, will do far more to improve rankings across the board with all search engines. Those are legit and will not get into trouble; they can only help.
