Had an "SEO" call me yesterday. Told me how many searches were done on a main keyword and how my ranking wasn't very good.

I said I wasn't interested, to which he retorted "YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED?"

Eventually he took the hint.

He then phoned today regarding another site of mine. He must be making that many calls that he didn't notice it was the same phone number AND voice :)

Decided to wind him up this time, so I asked for his website address and started google searching, whilst he told me how he was going to be building me.... for want of a better word..... "doorway pages" from a second domain.

I then, of course, found that his site ranked below 200 on "Search Engine Optimi(s,z)ation", "Search Engine Placement" etc........

I asked him HOW he could make my site rank well when he couldn't even good rankings for his own site?

Guess what...... he hang up :)

Hehehe, bottom feeders. You've been initiated! ;)

P.S. Don't always judge an SEO's capabilities based on terms specific to our industry. I know many who don't rank at all and their clients are reaping the benefits of top ten.

He who knows not, that he knows not... is a fool!

I never tried that... hanging up on a potential customer, because the customer was right. I wonder if it works? ;)
