Otherwise you could try link:site in various search engines.
There are also sites that do the link:check in the engines for you such as [linkpopularitycheck.com ]

you can type link:www.yourdomain.com into Google to check links. Be aware though that Google will only show links with PR4 and over.
You can use the same link: command in most other search engines, and they won't be restricted by 'PR' (it's a Google thing), so if you pick another big engine or two and check them you should get a good idea (I like to check a couple just to make sure I'm not missing any that a particular engine hasn't spidered yet).

Google might not show links even if you know you have them. It depends on the pagerank of the pages that link to your site. It most certainly depends on other factors too. You might find this thread interesting:
