Ranking and Submission Software Question

how to set software to report only keywords that position

I bought WP because I had read that one of the new features was you could set it up so the missions brought back only keywords that place.

I cannot find anything in the FAQ about this, nor is it intuitive from the mission reports set up (unless I am completely blind)..

can anyone help me?

thanks

this won't really answer your question, but give serious thought to doing manual rank checking. Remember that Google has banned automated rank checking. It's likely that others may do the same as it places an enormous strain on the system.

But then, I'm also of the opinion that rank isn't as important as delivering quality, qualfied traffic. Thus, I pay a lot more attention to results in my log files than I do to rankings on a particular engine. I'm perfectly happy to be at #6 if it is delivering strong, growing traffic numbers on phrases that convert well.

thanks. well I deliver the traffic, but the clients like to see their placement. Its really difficult doing manual rank checking when you have a ton of clients and tons of keywords :)

I only check once a quarter, too bad idiots abused the service and got it banned :(

Hey, that's what interns are for! :) Give some high school kid some work experience and a starting point to learn some SEO. Just a thought...

Search Engine Commando has a checkbox labeled "Hide zero rankings..." in the Project Options window that will do what you want. Uncheck it to include everything in the reports, or check it to list only those keywords and search engines on which your URL's are listed.

Another option as opposed to "rank checking"...

(which I must say -- although a time saver on your part now - will be a contract breaker should you ever have a client banned, and they will not understand this).

But since you have purchased WP, a 4 month trial of hitslink is available, and it will provide significantly more qualified data about your clients visitors and their habits.

Each of your clients can have a unique account and since this now allows them to check, track and analysis their own data, the time savings to you is significantly more, and without a banning possibility.

Since you own the master account you will have access to all client accounts.

With this and log file analysis software you will be in a far superior position to assist your clients than "hey - your ranked #1".
