Hi all,

We want to start banner advertising campaign and we need a good banner exchange network for this.

I know bcentral - but our previous campaign was unsatisfactory. According our logs we have 70% Chinese visitors.

I found many banner exchange sites on DMOZ (>200) but i need a success story.

Does anyone knows successful banner campains? Or we can 'bury' banners.

Thanks
Malcolm

Hi,

As far as I know, you should steer clear of banner exchanges. I've tried it once in the past, and saw my traffic drop slow (it was Microsoft's linkexchange or something--don't recall exactly).

I also remember some thread on these forums that gives the same advice; perhaps the moderator will help you there.

DMOZ is probably still the best incoming link you can have, but I've found Zeal to be a worthy second--at least for non-profit sites.

Hope this helps.

Bury them. Worthless. Very few click-throughs, Take up valuable real estate on site, and considered tacky by visitors.

There are much better ways to get hits.
