What does FFA stand for?

Can you clarify what this refers to?

Sorry to show my ignorance again, but what exactly is an FFA? I am aware of link farm sites that are a big "NO NO". I am looking at a solution which offers submission to automated FFA sites as part of the package. I also have the option of links to over 500,00 pages which I can't help think must be via a link farm even though I was told they don't use them.

Whilst I will advise against the 500K linking route I need to know what the FFA sites are and should I advise agianst that too?

"Free For All" links pages, offering heaps of links in a useless order.......generally like pin the tail in the donkey :)

In my humble opinion, I wouldn't offer a submitting service to FFA's....they are totally ignored by any relatively intelligent spider and won't have any PR to talk of....and they'll be so many links on the page with no targetted keywords its a total loss to everyone. I would go as far to say its questionnable whether the value of submitting is worth more than the cost to send a spider to it while you sit back and watch!

And to coin some of Brett's advice in regards to being "out there"......."stay off the radar". Being on half a mil FFA's will make it pretty apparent what is going on in regards to any strategy or motivations for the website owner.
