I'm thinking to buy some SEO software but I'm not sure wich is the right program. I have heard about Web Position Gold and Agent Web Ranking but I'm not sure wich is the best one. Could anybody tell me about the pros and con of these program (or maybe another one you use).

Thanks a lot,

Hi
I have used WPG for more than a year. Overall I am pleased.
I do not use it for creating doorways ( debate is open on the subject) nor
do I use it to submit. Do so manually. To be sure.
The tools for anaysis and reports are excellent.
As well I have not encountered any bugs and the sw is stable on
my machine.
I am considering purchasing the new release as it has
more features and I want to be able to prepare professional
reports as well as databases.
That is my 2cents worth. Best, Duhboy.

The best tool you can probably have is this forum, and it is free.

This resource is far superior to anything you can purchase. Believe me I know.

Short of going into the SEO business the tools you really don't need them.

Maxamine is the only one I use every day and that's a $40,000 purchase order.

Considering the discussion topic: a spell-checker... ;)

...on that note, search engine users spell incorrectly as well!

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !

If anyone is wondering about the power of WebmasterWorld, I just went to the Maxamine website, or tried to.

LOL should have left it mis-spelled?

After the spelling post - edited from maximine to the real name.

Sorry Todd!

Right Fathom, I know that Webmasterworld is an excellente resource (that's the reason to ask here) but I needed some advices about SEO SOFTWARE not about forums. I don't think you want to check the rankings of my sites or analyze my pages if I ask you for this in the forum, do you? So that's the reason because I need some advice...

Thanks for all the replys...

I've spent 30 minutes writing and rewriting a response Digimon.

And yes I would rather do it for you.

Shareware versions are available but they suck you in with hype and are not worth the cost.

Many people use them wrong and hurt their sites more than help.

Ranking is post analysis it doesn't improve just by finding where you list.

The use of the tools are only as good as your knowledge of optimization. Poor knowledge, is poor use of the tools.

WPG - Half the cost is a knowledge database that is given here freely.

Digimon my advise is... you shouldn't waste your money. Learn from the forum members how to improve your site and you will know your site is ranked well by the improved traffic.

IMO

in the beginning i learnt seo by using wpg. after a while i found that i began to get a feel for how to build a site that would rank pretty well in most search engines without using a tool.

i used to visit wpg's forum until i came across wmw which is infinitely better. nowadays i just come to this forum daily to keep up to date with developments.

so my advice is use a tool to cut your teeth on seo then when you have a grasp on the principles top up your knowledge by reading what the seo community at wmw has to say.

Thank you all for the reponses. I think, maybe, WPG could be my option. And also one of those programs to optimize backward links. Any suggestions in this field?
