Optimised site vs. old site structure

Created new site but client still wants look/feel of old as well.

Hi there. I have a wierd question, hope someone can answer it. We have a client whose site has been optimised - we re-did the site structure with regards to pages and links, and the client likes the site very much. However, she wants the old site there as well, as it was.

I'm afraid of going into dup content territory, even if the new pages we created have slightly altered text (for keywords etc.). What can I do to get around this if she insists on keeping the original structure as well? Thanks!

Surely if the design is radically different then so is every bit of code? Yes, be careful because of the way code is stripped for full-text indexing, but don't be overly paranoid either.
