What i mean is does it matter if you have many KW`s in the text or is it better to have single words will the single kw`s give you better boost.

I have looked at some sites and many have many words in the link text.
Is there an answer at this?

Ove,

In my opinion you are better off going with the shortest possible link text (in other words, the most specifically focused and highly targeted word/phrase).

Longer prases may prove to be more descriptive and therefore could aid you in click through ratio's, but the more keyword specific your link text, the better in terms of SE weight.

Beyond using long sentences in the link text, sometimes there can be the choice of the length of the phrase. Hats is one word and more competitive, of course specifics like summer hats, straw hats or straw summer hats would all be different with value and amount of competition.

What's the balance in using the link text between targeting the most valuable and competitive word, or choosing phrases with modifiers that miight be more realistic for a given site?

I think it's a matter of diluting emphasis of the main word by adding another word(s), so it seems a good question is whether to go for the gold in the link text or, as I think I've heard it referred to, obfuscate it.
