Re-Crawling stopped. Before daily basis

Hi,

I've noticed that for 10 days pretty much the GSC is not showing any sign of recrawling or reindexing new pages since the 24th of September. In my case before it was a daily recrawl of content (not too much, but it was every day).

Is it a GSC issue?

I didn't change the robots or sitemaps, but I'm working on translations and this adds quite a lot of new categories and tags. Maybe Google stopped crawling and wait to let settle down?

Lesson #1: Do not take GSC's unsupported word about anything.

Before anything else, check your access logs to see if there has been any change in G's crawling behavior (User-Agent contains the element “Googlebot”; IP starts in 66.249).

I tend to doubt there is any attested case of G### doing this. When there is new material, you are more likely to see a flurry of extra crawling.

I've checked the Crawl reports, and yes it crawls more for new stuff.
Weird that the Pages reports don't reflect that and are not up to date.

Again: GSC itself is not a reliable source of information. Only your site's access logs will tell you what is really going on.

I see PhP access with the IP you mentionned before. Learned something today :D

GSC is a report ... after the fact, and sometimes (nearly always) the reporting is delayed by other activities in the g ecosystem. In other words, you are not top priority for reporting purposes!
