not sure if this is the right place to post this...but here it goes anyway...

been lookig at several sms for my personal site.. but cant really get around them...

so i was wondering if anyone has any exoerience using some of the cmss found on that open source site cms(im sure u all know which one :) ) not looking for a blog, but that seems to be the dominating cms out there. need one where i can have categories and then articles in those categories, but also a resource section with link in different categories maybe also a gallery..and complete theme control...

tired of loking now..so any help is appreciated

CMS systems are like text editors, there are lots of them about, but you have to find the right one for you. Mambo is nice software, as are so many other CMS systems. Have a play around with them on that site and hopefully you will find the one for you.

In my investigations I found Mambo and Drupal to be the most popular PHP based CMS systems. There's pros and cons to each one and it also depends upon your comfort level installing and using PHP/MySQL. So I've used both and I prefer Drupal. They use taxonomy for catagorizing which is very flexible. I've yet to get my head around it fully but the power is there. Drupal also has a php based templating system which I like. If looking for something very professional and technical. check this [typo3.org...] . its called Typo3 but i think its more for Organizational Use then Personal, you can have a look though.
