Does anyone know if it is possible to use any of the free desktop search tools (Google, Yahoo, MSN) to index scripts such as PHP? There are times I need to locate things from a script though I'm not always sure in which script it resides. I downloaded MSN desktop search but after indexing the drive it does not appear like it indexed php files.

Sounds like you are using Windows. I just right click the folder that I believe it is in and click Search. If you know the search term is in there but aren't finding it you need to change some Windows settings. I believe the setting has something to do with the indexing services.

I think this is the knowledge base article that might help ...

Thanks. I was looking to do it a different way but this idea helps.
