PHP & sendmail

i was installing php on our server 2003 in order to be able to send e-mails through our website. however, .php documents are still not recognised and the mail function ist still not working. help, anyone?

What kind of errors were generated during installation of PHP? Does the server function normally aside from PHP not working? You're running IIS as your primary web server app, or Apache? You're using sendmail on a Windows Server 2003 installation?

A more detailed description of what you are experiencing would be helpful. :)
