converting Microft Word Document to HTML

Google has a cool way of showing .doc files in html format. can this be done using PHP.

did any searches turn anything up? I got a few things but didn't really look into them too much to see which would work.

i only find them for windows, i have a linux host
i found some perl scripts but i don't have good luck with perl
